The Power Hat project came about as an idea for a way for me to create unique wearable art millinery, while helping my local community by giving the works away. I will partner with five non-profit organizations which will each receive one hat or fascinator to be sold or auctioned at an already planned event in Saratoga County, NY. All proceeds will the benefit the our community through the good work of each of the five organizations that receive the donated works.

~ A hat is a powerful thing ~
Hats keep us dry, warm, or safe from possible impact. They shade our eyes in harsh sun, or announce that we are part of a certain group. Without a word, a hat can boldly say, “Lookout World, here I come! I am confident, unique, and this is my style!” A hat can even make you stand a little straighter, taller, add a bounce to your step. I design and create special occassion hats and fascinators. (A hat fits the head, a fascinator is held in place with a headband, elastic, or clips, and sometimes seems to float above the wearer’s head.)
The POWER HAT PROJECT is my way of sharing the art that I make, and the beauty of current day wearable art millinery integrated with philanthropy for the community at large. Art, design, and art projects affect everyone, often in subtle ways we don't even realize. My hope is for the Power Hat Project to have a positive effect for the entire community.................
